JDVS Movers Day

Moving into a new home should be an exciting new beginning—but for many women and families rebuilding after domestic abuse, it often starts with an empty apartment and very few belongings.

Through the generosity of our community, JDVS helps collect, transport, and set up donated furniture and household essentials, transforming empty spaces into comfortable, welcoming homes. From donated beds and dressers to kitchen tables, couches, dishes, and linens, every donated item helps create a place where families can begin to heal.

Movers Day is about much more than furniture. It is about restoring dignity, easing the financial burden of starting over, and reminding survivors that they are not alone. Every volunteer, donor, and supporter plays a part in helping families move forward with hope.
